AmÃlcar Sernadas
Born in 1952 in Angola, AmÃlcar Sernadas graduated in Electrical Engineering at IST in 1975, received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of London in 1980 (with a thesis on temporal logic specification of information systems) and obtained his agregação (habilitation) from the University of Lisbon in 1982. After his PhD he returned to the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. In 1986, he joined IST where he is Full Professor since 1990.
